John R. Marino, CLU

John has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry specializing in Life Insurance and Medicare program sales. Prior to establishing JRM Insurance Associates, LLC in 2017, John worked for Travelers, The Harford and MassMutual holding various positions in sales and marketing. Other experience included spending 10 years at CRUMP Life Insurance, Inc., an independent wholesaler distributor of Life Insurance and other financial products as a Brokerage Sales Manager. He qualified for Presidents Club in 2011. More recently he held the position of Sales Benefit Consultant for 3 years with Wellcare, a health insurance company offering Medicare Advantage and Supplement Plans. In 2015, awarded top Benefit Consultant for Medicare programs sales in Connecticut. In 2016, with an effort to offer more product options for his clients in the senior markets, he contracted with Garity Advantage, an independent marketing organization. Again, in 2017 awarded top
broker for Medicare program sales in the Connecticut office.
John received his professional designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the
American College in1987. He received an Associates of Science in Business Administration from Tunxis College. John holds the State of Connecticut Insurance Life License and Health License.
John resides in Newington, Connecticut with his family and has one daughter. John enjoys running, working out and all outdoor activities. He volunteers for local community events.
James started his career at Aetna Casualty Insurance, where he worked for approximately 10 years being promoted several times from Underwriter to the top position of Account Analyst, handling national accounts. He traveled throughout the United States to meet with clients to negotiate their renewals and service agreements. James transitioned to the position of Senior Underwriter for Liberty Mutual Insurance, he worked there for 15 years. In his first year with the company, he brought in 3 million dollars worth of new business ranking number 2 in the Connecticut Regional office. In 2017 he established JRM Insurance Associates as Managing Partner, helping clients with their health insurance and life insurance needs.
James majored in Business Administration at Central Connecticut State University. He holds his health license in the state of Connecticut.
He enjoys yoga, working out at the gym and all outdoor recreation. He is involved in several local community activities in Newington, Connecticut where he resides. His family includes two daughters and three grandchildren.
